Welcome to our blog about life in a small town in New England where we are renovating an old farm house, enjoying having our father-in-law here during the summer, volunteering with the local fire department, working with the town, running a small alternative energy biz, and are owned by our white shepherd, a sassy kitty, Ody Parrot, chickens!

Almost...
One Step closer. All cleaned, primed, and painted. Now just venting and a pellet basket and we are go for wood cooking!
Oh my goodness! That is one BEAUTIFUL stove!!! We've got an old wood cook stove in our kitchen that was used by the previous owners of the house to heat the house and cook all their meals.
We don't use it, but I don't want to sell it. We've been offered quite a bit of $$$ for it, but I just can't part with it! It's a Finley Wood/Cook stove.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I think your stove is beautiful! Yours is the real thing...ours is a reproduction...it's all electric. I think it's great that you've refurbished it!
Love your chickens too...would love to raise them but can't convince hubby....yet! :)

THAT is so cool! It's also gorgeous. Congratulations; I know restoration isn't easy work!

Oh, forgot to say that I have an earlier post on the stove that shows it up closer...I believe it was a May post.
