I can't believe the leaves are already falling! Someone said we are right on schedule this year. Our trusty Farmer's Almanac says we will have a cold and early winter. Our local farmer's wife said that since she has so many acorns in her yard that it will be a warm winter.
Welcome to our blog about life in a small town in New England where we are renovating an old farm house, enjoying having our father-in-law here during the summer, volunteering with the local fire department, working with the town, running a small alternative energy biz, and are owned by our white shepherd, a sassy kitty, Ody Parrot, chickens!

I woke up to this...

I know who I WANT to believe!!

Oh my goodness! I can't believe the leaves are already falling where you are!
The leaves changing colours are so pretty. I LOVE the fall colours...but in the FALL! It's still summer!
Leaves are falling here too, Shannon- but it's because it's been so dry here!
I'm afraid we won't have any pretty fall foilage this year thanks to the drought!
We've not seen many acorns in our yard, but it's really a little early yet for us to be seeing them. I always hope for a cold winter, since Hubby and I love cold weather, but see little of it here in Texas. For your sake, I do hope you have a warm one, though!
